By using this website or booking a room, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site or make a booking.
Booking a Room
- You can book online on our Book Now page, or by phone or email.
- Your booking is confirmed when you receive a confirmation email with a booking number. Please keep it and show it at reception.
- The person making the booking must be at least 18 years old and is responsible for everyone on the booking.
- Please give correct details: your name, email, phone number and arrival date. We use them to contact you about your stay.
- If something in your confirmation looks wrong, tell us as soon as possible.
Prices and Taxes
- Prices are in US dollars (US$), per room, per night, room only (breakfast is not included).
- Taxes and charges required by Maldivian law, such as Tourism Goods and Services Tax (T-GST), Green Tax and service charge, are not included in the room price. They are added to your bill at the hotel.
- We may change our prices at any time, but the room price on your confirmed booking will not change.
Payment
- You pay the full amount at the hotel, at check-in or check-out. Nothing is charged online.
- We accept cash in US dollars or Maldivian rufiyaa, and major debit and credit cards.
Changing or Cancelling a Booking
- To change or cancel, call +960 999 0053 or email info@maavelihotel.com with your booking number.
- Cancellation is free if you tell us at least 48 hours before your arrival date.
- If you don't arrive and haven't told us, we may release your room after 12:00 noon on the day after your arrival date.
- Changes to dates or rooms depend on availability.
- In the rare case that we can't provide your room (for example, because of an emergency at the building), we'll tell you as soon as possible and help you find somewhere else to stay.
Check-In and Check-Out
- Check-in is from 2:00 pm. Check-out is by 12:00 noon.
- At check-in, every guest must show a valid passport or national ID card.
- Early check-in and late check-out depend on which rooms are free that day. Just ask us.
Airport Pick-Up
- Airport pick-up from Velana International Airport is free. Ask for it when you book by writing your flight number and arrival time in the Special Requests box.
- If your flight changes, please let us know so your driver can meet you at the right time.
- The drive to the hotel usually takes about 20 minutes, depending on traffic.
House Rules
- No smoking in rooms or anywhere inside the hotel.
- No alcohol. Malé is a local island, and alcohol is not served or allowed in the hotel.
- Visitors: only registered guests may stay overnight. Visitors are welcome in the public areas.
- Quiet hours are from 10:00 pm to 7:00 am.
- Modest dress is appreciated in public areas, out of respect for local customs.
- No pets, except assistance animals.
- Valuables: please use the safe in your room. We are not responsible for valuables left outside it.
- Damage: if you or your guests damage the room or hotel property, we may charge the cost of repair or replacement.
- Lost property: we keep items left behind for 30 days. Contact us to arrange collection.
- We may ask a guest to leave, without a refund, if they put others at risk or seriously break these rules.
Restaurants and Facilities
- Thai Wok on the 1st floor is run independently, so its own policies apply.
- The meeting room and karaoke room are booked separately with reception.
- Opening hours of the restaurants and facilities may change.
Using This Website
- Our travel pages about the Maldives (such as Ari Atoll, Addu City and Fuvahmulah) are general information. We try to keep them accurate, but details such as prices, opening hours and transport can change. Please check important details before you travel.
- Links to other websites are there for your convenience. We are not responsible for their content.
- Please don't misuse the website, for example by trying to break into it, copying it in bulk, or sending false bookings.

Our Responsibility
- We'll take reasonable care to provide your stay as described.
- We are not responsible for problems caused by events outside our control, such as bad weather, flight or ferry delays, power cuts or government decisions.
- Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have that cannot be limited by law.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Maldives. Any dispute will be handled by the courts of the Maldives.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. The terms that apply to your booking are the ones in place when you made it.
